Trial

I am wondering if there is a way to Demo uberagent if we are currently not a Splunk user? Is there a way to use a free or trial instance of Splunk with UberAgent? If so I would be interested in hearing about it. Also I think it would make an excellent blog if you haven't done one. It would really help us evaluate the product without having an existing Splunk investment.

Thanks,

Paul

Setting up trial versions of uberAgent and Splunk is a quick and easy process that only requires a few minutes. You do not need much infrastructure, either. Splunk can be installed on (almost) any machine you have available, it need not even be dedicated a dedicated VM.

If you follow these instructions you should have a trail up and running no time at all.

    Thanks Helge,

Found someone on another team with a Splunk instance and we are up and running. I may need a license without the login pop up at some point if we put this on a few servers with users to evaluate the product. So far so good, we are looking to see what your product can reveal about performance issues and ux. Also we have had a number of incidents where we have had a performance impact and degraded ux and then they just disappear and no one knows why so interested to see if uberagent can pick up on the root cause if we have these types of incidents. Edgesight and Scom just aren't cutting it and my experience with Director tells me our future won't be much better with the tools baked in from Citrix.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Happy to hear that you are up and running. To request an uberAgent eval license just send an email to info [at] uberagent.com.
