Citrix Cloud Monitoring

I have a Citrix Cloud environment with an on-premises storefront deployment. I have installed the agent on my gold images for the VDA monitoring. Can i also install it on the cloud connectors and storefront servers?

I am reviewing this article https://uberagent.com/docs/uberagent/latest/uxm-features-configuration/citrix-cloud-monitoring/ but i am not entirely clear. Where do i need the remote powershell SDK? is it on the VDAs, cloud connectors, storefront etc.

Thanks

    Hi Cormac,

Please check the requirements section in the article you've shared: https://uberagent.com/docs/uberagent/latest/uxm-features-configuration/citrix-cloud-monitoring/#requirements

You can install the Remote PowerShell SDK on any endpoint, but not on delivery controllers or Cloud Connectors.

Our suggestion is to configure CollectCitrixCloudInformation=MachineList in combination with a set of machines configured in CollectCitrixCloudInformationMachines.

Thanks Dominik. So i need to put the remote powershell SDK on all Citrix VDAs and also the storefront servers?

Can i get any monitoring on the cloud connectors?

No, please read the whole article again. You only need to put the Remote PowerShell SDK on these endpoints, which you set to connect to Citrix Cloud. This should be one or two dedicated machines that you specify via the setting CollectCitrixCloudInformationMachines. If you put it on all endpoints and set CollectCitrixCloudInformation=True, all endpoints will try to contact Citrix Cloud and potentially create a denial of service.

You can install uberAgent on the Cloud Connector without the Remote PowerShell SDK to get machine and process performance.

OK, i think i get it. So you dedicate a couple of machines and they do the Citrix Cloud data collection via the API and the remote powershell sdk.

If i could offer any feedback i would say that this is not clear from the article. A diagram and some additional detail might help to clarify, or maybe it is just me...

    Anyway, thanks for your help.
