Application Metering

I am trying to run Application Metering and I am unable to actually add a filter for an application. The drop-down is missing the App options.  I am having to run the query for all Applications and then I have to choose an application for the long list of apps.  It is a major hog for a query missing a key element.

Also, I don't really see any metering info other than being told it has run at least once.  Once since when?

How often is it run?

How long is it used over a period of time?

    Hi Ricky,

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean with "Application Metering". To which dashboard are you referring to?

Application Usage (Usage and metering are synonymous)

    Thanks for the input.

Everything on the dashboard always refers to the timeframe set in the time range picker. For the Application Usage dashboard that's the last day by default.

As for the filters. The filter app name is missing on purpose, as this would break the Foreground application over time (%) chart. Also, the four top 10 charts would only show one application.

Instead, we put a filter to the Application usage table to save you endless browsing through that table.

When you click on one of the elements in the table, a new chart opens and gives detailed information about the usage over time, etc. In the example below, I clicked on Firefox.

In this video, you get a nice overview of how to use our dashboards in the best possible way.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you. I thought I went through the same motions but I will try again.  I look forward to the video.
